This Privacy Policy explains how Nomad Life Cyprus (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use this website, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Cyprus data-protection law.
1. Who we are (Data Controller)
The data controller responsible for your personal data is Nomad Life Cyprus, based in Cyprus. For any privacy matter you can contact us at info@nomadlifecy.com.
2. What data we collect
- Information you give us — when you submit a contact, enquiry or “Partner with us” form, or chat with us through the live-chat widget: your name, email address, phone number (if provided), the subject and the content of your message.
- If you contact us on Telegram — our footer links to our Telegram account. A conversation you start there takes place on Telegram’s own platform and is governed by Telegram’s privacy policy, not this one. We receive your Telegram display name, your username if you have one, and whatever you choose to send us. Messages sent this way are not recorded in the website’s enquiry system.
- Information collected automatically — when you send an enquiry or use the chat: your IP address, an approximate location (country/city) estimated from that IP, your browser and device type, and the page you contacted us from.
- Cookies & local storage — the live-chat widget stores a small identifier in your browser’s local storage so your conversation can continue. We use only essential cookies needed for security and core functionality; we do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- Aggregate analytics — we collect cookieless, first-party website-usage statistics (pages viewed, approximate country, device type) using our own analytics. This uses no cookies and does not store your IP address, and cannot identify you.
3. How and why we use your data (legal basis)
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the information or service you requested — legal basis: your consent and/or taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract.
- To manage and follow up on enquiries through our internal customer/leads system — legal basis: our legitimate interest in running our business and helping you relocate to Cyprus.
- To keep the website and your data secure, prevent spam and abuse — legal basis: our legitimate interest in security.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Relevant providers — where your enquiry concerns a specific property, vehicle or service, we may pass your details to the relevant owner or provider so they can respond to you.
- Service providers (processors) who help us operate the website and messaging/CRM on our behalf (e.g. our hosting provider and a geolocation service used to estimate approximate location), under appropriate data-processing terms.
- Authorities, where required by law.
5. International transfers
Our website and data are hosted within the EU/EEA. Where a service provider processes data outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and lead data for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards (no longer than 24 months), after which it is deleted, unless we are required to keep it longer by law.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data; have it corrected or erased; restrict or object to its processing; data portability; and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email us at info@nomadlifecy.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Cyprus supervisory authority, the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
8. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and rate-limiting to deter abuse. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.
9. Children
This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it was last revised.
Note for the operator: this is a template tailored to the site’s data flows. Please review it with a qualified adviser and complete the bracketed details (legal entity name, registered address, contact email, retention period) before launch.
